Jessica
Jessica Meredith is an accomplished Australian carriage driving athlete and coach with a
lifelong commitment to the development of the sport at all levels. Beginning her journey in
1992, Jessica trained for 12 years under the late Edgar Lichtwark, where she built a strong
foundation in the classical Achenbach Driving System. For the past seven years, she has
continued her elite development under the guidance of World Championship Boyd Exell
OAM.
Based in the United Kingdom for 13 years, Jessica competed extensively throughout the UK
and Europe across FEI and advanced-level circuits, gaining valuable international experience.
An experienced international competitor, she has proudly represented Australia at two World
Championships and many major international events. Career highlights include competing at
the World Combined Pony Championships in Denmark, achieving 4th place in Dressage, and
in Germany, where she placed 11th in Marathon. She also coached the Australian team at the
World Horse Single Championships in Italy and has earned multiple State and National titles
in both singles and pairs competition within Australia.
Jessica is widely respected for her ability to tailor coaching to the unique partnership between
horse, athlete, groom & carriage. Alongside her competitive career, she has played a
significant role in athlete development, event organisation, and governance within the sport.
She continues to coach privately both in person and online, delivers clinics for ACDS and
Equestrian Australia clubs, and remains an active elite competitor.
