Sarah

Sarah Lamb is a highly respected Level 2 RDA Coach, RDA Australia National Assessor, and national office Coach Advisor, with extensive experience in inclusive coaching across Australia and internationally. She currently serves as Head Coach at RDA Carine and has led inclusive training initiatives for both RDA Australia and Pony Club Australia, supporting coaches to deliver safe, effective, and participant‑centred programs.

Sarah’s journey with RDA began in the United Kingdom, where she first became involved as a teenager. She later trained and practised as an Osteopath, a background that deeply informed her understanding of the human body, movement, and disability.

In 2007, Sarah relocated to Singapore, where she re‑joined her RDA coaching pathway. Two years later, she moved to Perth, continuing to build her coaching, assessment, and advisory experience within the Australian RDA system.
Sarah is passionate about working alongside her riders and clients to help them recognise their potential, overcome challenges, and achieve meaningful outcomes through equestrian participation.

With a combination of clinical expertise, international experience, and deep knowledge of adaptive and inclusive coaching, Sarah brings a thoughtful, evidence‑informed, and compassionate approach to her work — supporting both riders and coaches to thrive.

Session Details

Every rider brings their own story, strengths, and challenges to the arena. This session explores how coaches can confidently and safely support riders with physical and neurological disabilities by understanding the medical and physical considerations that underpin effective adaptive coaching.

Drawing on extensive experience as an RDA coach and national assessor, Sarah Lamb will focus on recognising individual needs, adapting programs and sessions, and making informed decisions that support rider wellbeing, function, and participation. The session will explore how medical and physical factors influence movement, balance, fatigue, and communication, and how thoughtful, well‑informed adaptations can significantly improve rider outcomes.

This session is ideal for coaches looking to deepen their understanding of the physical and neurological factors that influence participation and to build confidence when working with riders who have complex or individual support needs.
