Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cost of the event?

The standard two‑day pass for CANTER CON will be released once Early Bird ticket sales are complete, and it includes full access to every session across the entire event.

Is there be early‑bird pricing?

Yes! Early‑bird tickets will be available exclusively for EA, PCA, and RDAA members. Early bird tickets are priced at $295. Early‑bird ticket holders will also get first pick of limited‑capacity breakout sessions and special updates.

When will tickets go on sale?

Early Bird tickets are available from 27 March to 10 May. Standard ticket sales run from 11 May until 17 July.

Can RDA NSW, HRCAV, and coaches from other organisations attend?

Our first priority is accredited EA, PCA, and RDA Australia coaches, as numbers are capped and interest is high. After the early‑bird period closes, if space allows, we’ll release a limited number of general tickets for coaches and equestrian enthusiasts from other organisations. Register to join our updates for when these may go on sale.

Who will be presenting at CANTER CON?

CANTER CON is bringing together more than 20 fantastic presenters — including favourites like Dr Andrew McLean, Vicki Roycroft, Will Enzinger, Amanda Ross, Mary Longden, Gary Lung, Rachel Downs and Simon Kale. It’s a seriously amazing lineup!

Check out the full presenter list on our website — there’s plenty more to get excited about!

Have the start and finish times been confirmed?

On Saturday 25 July, doors open at 8:30am for a big day of action from 9:00am–5:00pm.

On Sunday 26 July, we’re back at it again with registration from 8:30am and a jam‑packed program running from 9:00am–4:00pm. Get ready — it’s going to be a HUGE weekend! 🎉🐴

Will the agenda be discipline‑specific or general?

A bit of both! You’ll enjoy keynote sessions with the full coaching community, plus breakout and “coach’s choice” sessions so you can tailor your own learning journey.

We’re working to represent as many disciplines as possible. The Full schedule will be released later.

Will coaches from all backgrounds be able to collaborate and share ideas?

Absolutely. Collaboration is at the heart of CANTER—literally! Coaching Advancement through Networking, Training, Education and Relationships. Expect plenty of opportunities to connect, chat, and learn from one another.

Will the program focus on advanced coaching knowledge or basic skills?

CANTER CON is designed for coaches at every stage—from those just starting out to those with decades of experience. Sessions will offer depth, variety, and choice so everyone can find content that meets their needs and stretches their thinking.

Are there accommodation options near the venue?

Yes. We’ve partnered with nearby hotels to offer discounted rates for CANTER CON attendees. Details are available on our website.

Is there public transport to the venue?

Yes! Tram: Route 57 from Elizabeth Street (CBD) stops on Epsom Road, just a short walk from the Showgrounds. Bus:

  • Route 472 (Williamstown → Moonee Ponds) — stops along Langs Road

  • Route 404 (Footscray → Moonee Ponds) — stops at Epsom Rd / Ascot Vale Rd

Will there be practical demonstrations?

Yes. We’ll be using the Main Arena and the Horse Pavilion for horse demonstrations on Sunday 26th July including horse behaviour and training, dressage, jumping and carriage driving master classes and demonstrations.

Will sessions cover a range of rider levels?

Definitely. We know our coaching community works with riders from beginners to advanced athletes. Breakout sessions will allow you to choose content that best matches your interests and coaching focus.

EA, PCA and RDA coaching can be quite different. Will I learn skills that are relevant to my coaching, or will the content be too general?

CANTER CON has been designed to celebrate the diversity of our coaching community, and we know that EA, PCA and RDA coaches all bring different strengths, environments and teaching approaches. The program won’t be generic. Alongside our shared keynote sessions, the event will include sessions specific to EA, PCA and RDA. Anyone is welcome to attend these, so you can choose to deepen your knowledge in your own coaching stream or explore something new from another pathway.

Can I host a trade stall, promote my brand, or partner with the event?
