    Sharon

Born in Edinburgh and raised in the windswept Orkney Islands in the far north of Scotland, Sharon developed a deep connection with horses from an early age. After completing schooling in Orkney, he pursued formal equestrian training at the renowned Yorkshire Riding School under the tutelage of Chris Bartle, training there from 1980 to 1985 and attaining both BHSAI and BHSII qualifications.

In 1986, she emigrated to Australia and settled on the Mornington Peninsula, where she continued to build a successful equestrian career. Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, she competed at the top levels of eventing across Australia. Her international ambitions took her back to the UK in 1994, where she was based with Lucinda Green and competed at both Badminton and Blenheim, finishing 3rd at Blenheim and winning the Omega watch for the closest ride to the optimum time.

A pioneer in the Australian eventing community, she founded eventers.com.au in 1992 and has since become a respected agent for elite event horses, sourcing and selling top‑level eventers both locally and internationally. She works closely with many of Australia’s leading event riders and maintains strong professional relationships with riders across the UK, Europe, and beyond.

Committed to staying connected with the global equestrian scene, she regularly travels to major international championships, including recent Olympic Games and World Equestrian Games, and is set to attend Aachen this August.
