Zoe
Zoe Farrant is an APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist and the founder of The Riders Physio, a specialist service dedicated to improving rider performance, rehabilitation, and wellbeing. Originally beginning her physiotherapy career in Western Australia after graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) in 2009, Zoe went on to complete her Postgraduate Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University, earning her APA Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist title.
A lifelong equestrian and experienced competitive rider, Zoe blends her deep understanding of equestrian biomechanics with over a decade of clinical expertise. Her work focuses on assessing and enhancing the physical capacity of riders across all levels, from grassroots equestrians to high‑performance athletes. Her career highlights include providing physiotherapy services for Equestrian Australia High Performance squads, state squads in both WA and Victoria, and supporting para‑equestrian athletes through classification and tailored rehabilitation.
Zoe has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in areas including dry needling, APPI Clinical Pilates, advanced spine/hip/pelvis physiotherapy, sport-specific rehabilitation, and equine physiotherapy through the Australian Physiotherapy Association. She is also a Para Equestrian Classifier and has served on the APA Musculoskeletal Victorian Chapter Committee from 2019–2023.
Relocating to the Mornington Peninsula in 2015, Zoe now consults both at her home base at Boneo Park Equestrian Centre and at The Beach Physio + Performance in Safety Beach. Her approach integrates manual therapy, sport‑specific exercise prescription, performance Pilates, and rider biomechanics education to help riders become effective, balanced, and pain‑free athletes.
Zoe’s passion lies in empowering riders to reach their goals—whether returning from injury, resolving long‑term pain, overcoming positional challenges, or striving for elite performance. As both a physiotherapist and dedicated rider herself, she brings an unmatched combination of clinical insight, lived experience, and genuine enthusiasm to every rider she works with.
